We specialize in a wide range of outdoor projects, including patio covers, sunrooms, decks, pavers, concrete, turf, putting greens, lighting, water features, and virtually everything outdoors. While our projects typically average around $125,000, we work on projects ranging from $25,000 to over half a million dollars.

Site Survey

Our Principal Designer will visit your property to take measurements, understand the space, and discuss your budget and wishlist. You'll get to meet the team and choose whether to design toward your full wishlist or stay within budget from the start.

Design Creation

With all details in hand including your budget, wishlist, and inspirational pictures, we will create your 3D design and send you a video walkthrough, screenshots, and ballpark pricing. After that, we will meet on Zoom to review the design together and make live edits to ensure everything aligns before sending you one final revised version.

Phase 03

Finalization & Proposal

Finalize your design by selecting materials and reviewing key details during a follow-up Zoom call (with supplier information provided if needed). Once materials are confirmed, we deliver a comprehensive proposal outlining project costs, timeline, terms, and warranty details.

At Angkorscape, we don’t just design landscapes—we create experiences. Our design process is tailored to blend your style, needs, and budget into a cohesive plan. To ensure consistency and quality, we exclusively work with designs developed by our expert team. With each step building on the last, we guide you through a clear and connected journey toward your dream outdoor space. Here’s how it all begins:

Step 1

Select Your Design Tier

Your design journey begins on our website, where you’ll select the tier that best aligns with your goals. Each tier is designed to meet different project needs, whether you’re building with us or just looking for a detailed plan.

Tier 1: Conceptual Design
This tier is designed for homeowners who are ready to move forward with Angkorscape and want a clear visual direction without needing construction documents. It’s offered at a
discounted rate to support our build clients.

This tier includes:

  • 3D video walkthrough and screenshots
  • Material and supplier details
  • Generic plant placeholders (no specific plant names)
  • Angkorscape’s bid for the project
  • Does not include 2D drawings with measurements

Tier 2: Build Tier Design
This tier is for those who want a complete, construction-ready design package—whether you’re building with us or planning to compare bids or manage the build yourself.

This tier includes:

  • 3D video walkthrough and screenshots
  • 2D drawings with detailed measurements
  • Material and supplier details
  • Generic plant placeholders
  • Angkorscape’s detailed bid for the project
  • Low-voltage lighting wire layout

Step 2

Confirming Your Design Tier
After you select your preferred design tier through our online form, our team will schedule a consultation call to discuss your project in detail. During this conversation, we’ll review the scope of work, your project’s specific requirements, and the tier you’ve selected. This discussion allows us to ensure that the tier choice is optimal for your needs. If we determine that a different tier would better suit your project, we will guide you through selecting the appropriate one. Following the tier confirmation, we will provide you with a customized pricing estimate based on the selected tier and the scope of work discussed. If you decide to proceed, we will schedule a site survey day, where you will have the opportunity to meet our design team and begin the detailed planning of your project.

Step 3

Submitting Inspirational Pictures
Once we’ve confirmed your design tier and you’re ready to proceed, we’ll ask you to share inspirational pictures with us. These images are essential as they help us fully understand your vision and style preferences. We prefer to receive these pictures before our scheduled site visit. This allows our design team to come prepared, ready to engage in detailed discussions about specific elements of your project. By using your images as a guideline, we ensure that the design we develop aligns closely with your expectations throughout the design process.

Step 4

Site Survey for Design
After you’ve submitted your inspirational pictures, our Principal Designer, accompanied by one or two team members, will conduct a site survey at your property. This visit is essential for taking precise measurements and gaining a firsthand understanding of your property’s unique characteristics. This survey provides you with the opportunity to meet the team in person and directly engage in the design process, ensuring we fully capture your vision and address the specifics of your space effectively.

Step 5

Budget and Wishlist Discussion
During the site survey, we will discuss your budget and wishlist, including priorities for each item on your list. If your wishlist exceeds the budget, you will have two options:
  • Design Toward the Wishlist: Even if it exceeds the initial budget, this option allows you to see the full potential of your design. It’s ideal for those who plan to execute the project in phases or who want to explore all possibilities before making adjustments in the final version of the design.
  • Design Within the Budget: This option focuses on optimizing your budget to achieve the most from your wishlist. It’s perfect for those who seek our expertise in prioritizing and streamlining their project to deliver a high-quality design within financial constraints.

Step 6

Starting Your 3D Design
Once the onsite survey is complete and you’ve confirmed your approach regarding your wishlist and budget, our team will begin working on the first version (V1) of your 3D design. The creation of this initial design can take up to 4 weeks to complete. Once V1 is ready, we will provide a video walkthrough and screenshots of the design, accompanied by a ballpark cost estimate for the entire project. This presentation allows you to visualize your space in detail and provide feedback, ensuring that we are fully aligned with your vision and budget before proceeding further with the project.

Step 7

Design Presentation and Revisions
After you’ve had time to review the 3D design and ballpark cost estimate, the next step is a Zoom presentation with our team. This session will be more in-depth than before. During the call, our designer will walk you through the design and make live, minor adjustments based on your feedback. This collaborative session helps ensure we’re on the same page before we finalize your design. Following the presentation, you will receive one official revision based on everything discussed during the call. If additional revisions are needed, we can provide them for an extra fee depending on the complexity and scope of the changes.

Step 8

Material Selection and Design Details
With the design finalized, the next step is finalizing the materials and reviewing key design details to ensure everything aligns with your vision. During a Zoom call, we’ll discuss material options and refine specific elements of the design, making sure they fit your preferences and budget. If you’d like to see the materials in person, we’ll provide addresses for suppliers where you can view and evaluate the options firsthand.

Step 9

Detailed Proposal

Once the materials are confirmed, we’ll prepare a comprehensive proposal outlining the cost of your project, the timeline, terms and conditions, and warranty information. This document serves as the final step in the design process, giving you a clear understanding of what to expect as we transition into the build phase. Thank you!

Building Your Design

Approval Documentation & Permitting

We handle all required documentation for HOA approvals and permits/engineering (typically a three-month process). If any design tweaks are needed based on engineering feedback, we review them with you.

Pre-Construction Coordination & Safety Checks

Our team coordinates utility work (electrical, plumbing, etc.) and prepares a comprehensive job package. About 1–2 weeks before construction, we arrange for underground utility marking to ensure site safety.

Construction Kick-Off & Ongoing Communication

On day one, meet your construction crew as we review final plans together. A dedicated group chat keeps you connected with the project manager, foreman, designer, and owner throughout the build.
Phase 04
At Angkorscape, our build process is the seamless continuation of our design process. Once your design is finalized, we transition into building with the same level of care, precision, and attention to detail. Each step is carefully planned to ensure the vision we created together comes to life exactly as you imagined. Here’s how we bring your project from design to completion:

Step 1

Design Verification
After you sign the proposal to move forward with us on the build, the first step is to verify the design. We’ll revisit your property to remeasure and spray-paint the layout in your yard, giving you a clear view of how everything will be placed and ensuring the plan aligns with the approved design.

If any adjustments are needed, we’ll schedule a call to review the changes, including updates to the design and pricing. If the changes don’t meet your expectations, you have the option to cancel the project, and we’ll refund your deposit.

Unless permits and engineering change the project scope, we guarantee the price provided at this stage is final. There will be no further price changes unless unexpected issues arise during excavation, such as large boulders or tree stumps or anything that delay work by more than a day, or if you request additional work to be added to the project.

Step 2

HOA Package
For projects needing HOA approval, we provide a complete HOA package. This includes all the necessary design details and supporting documents to help you fill out and submit your HOA’s forms.

While you handle the submission, we’ll be available to answer any questions or provide additional information needed to help secure your HOA approval.

Step 3

Permits and Engineering
If your project requires permits or engineering, we’ll manage the entire process. This phase typically takes about three months and may include site visits from the engineering team to create a detailed site plan.

Although it’s uncommon, some designs may need slight adjustments if the engineering team identifies requirements or conditions that were missed during the initial research. If this happens, we’ll present the changes to you, following the same review process we use during design verification.

Step 4

Electrical and Plumbing
When it comes to electrical, plumbing, or any utility work, we’ll coordinate with our trusted partners to review the scope of work and align their schedules with the overall project timeline.

Depending on the complexity of your project, they may visit your property to verify details and ensure all requirements are properly addressed before work begins. This ensures all utility work is completed smoothly and on schedule.

Step 5

Job Package Preparation
The job package is an essential part of every Angkorscape project. It contains everything the team needs, from layouts and materials to timelines and design specifics, ensuring nothing is overlooked.

After the pre-build phase, the project manager prepares this package and has a detailed review with the team to ensure everyone is fully aligned.

Step 6

Utility Marking
Approximately 1–2 weeks before construction begins, we contact 811 to mark underground utilities on your property. This step ensures the safety of the construction team and protects your property from potential damage to utility lines.

Step 7

Construction Begins
On the first day of construction, you’ll meet the crew who will bring your project to life. Before work begins, we’ll walk through the plans together with you and the team to ensure everyone is aligned and ready to move forward.

To keep communication clear and efficient during the project, we’ll set up a group chat that includes you, the project manager, foreman, designer, and owner. This chat will be our primary way to share updates, address questions, and keep everything on track throughout the construction process.
