We built our process around one belief. A well-designed outdoor space starts long before construction begins. Here is how every Angkorscape project moves from first conversation to finished space.
Our process is built around clarity and connection. Every phase is planned before the next one begins, every decision is documented, and every step is communicated so you always know exactly where your project stands.
The full process typically spans several months from first consultation to construction completion. Design alone can take up to four weeks for the initial 3D concept, followed by a permitting phase that typically runs around three months. We map out the complete timeline before anything begins so you always know what to expect and when.
What to Expect:

A fully custom 3D design built around your vision and budget

Clear line-item pricing established before construction begins

Permitting, engineering, and HOA submissions managed by our team

One point of contact throughout design and construction

A group chat connecting you directly to your project manager, foreman, designer, and owner

The design phase is where your outdoor space takes shape. Before a single element is installed, we work through a structured process to make sure every detail is right, every number makes sense, and every decision is grounded in your vision and your budget.
Your project begins on our website where you select the design tier that best fits your goals. Each tier is structured around a different level of deliverables: from a conceptual 3D walkthrough to a full construction-ready package with 2D drawings, lighting layout, and a detailed bid.
Starting at $2,500, the final fee is determined on site based on project scope and property size.
After selecting your tier, we schedule a call to walk through your project in detail. We review the scope, confirm your tier selection, and make sure everything is aligned before moving forward.
If a different tier would serve your project better, we will guide you through the adjustment. Once confirmed, we provide a customized pricing estimate and schedule your site survey.
Before the site visit, we ask you to share images that capture the look and feel you are drawn to. These become a reference point for our design team and help us arrive at your property prepared to discuss specific elements, materials, and styles that reflect your vision.
Our Principal Designer visits your property alongside one or two team members to take precise measurements and get a firsthand read on your space.
This is also your opportunity to meet the team in person and begin discussing the specifics of your project before design work begins.
During the site visit, we sit down to review your budget and wishlist in detail. If your wishlist exceeds your budget, you choose one of two paths: design toward the full wishlist to explore all possibilities, or design within your budget to optimize what can be built within your investment.
Both paths are valid and both lead to a design that makes sense for you.

Once the site survey is complete, the design work begins. This phase takes your vision from a rough concept to a fully refined, construction-ready plan with materials confirmed, pricing locked, and a proposal in hand.
With your budget, wishlist, and inspirational images in hand, our team builds the first version of your 3D design. This initial concept can take up to four weeks to complete.
Once ready, we deliver a video walkthrough, high-resolution screenshots, and an initial project estimate so you can visualize the space in full detail before we meet to review it together.
We meet on Zoom to walk through the design together. During this session our designer presents the concept, answers your questions, and makes live adjustments based on your feedback.
Following the call, you receive one official revised version incorporating everything discussed. Additional revisions beyond that are available depending on scope and complexity.
With the design direction confirmed, we move into finalizing materials and key design details. During a follow-up Zoom call we walk through material options and refine specific elements to make sure everything aligns with your vision and budget.
If you would like to see materials in person, we provide supplier addresses so you can evaluate options firsthand before making final decisions.
Once materials are confirmed, we prepare a comprehensive proposal covering project costs, timeline, terms and conditions, and warranty details.
This document marks the completion of the design phase and gives you a full picture of what to expect as your project moves into construction.

Once your design is approved and your proposal is signed, we move into the build phase: planned, coordinated, and built to match every decision made in the design process. Each phase of the build is tied to a payment milestone, starting with a 10% deposit at signing.
We revisit your property to remeasure and spray paint the layout directly on the ground so you can see exactly how everything will be placed before construction begins.
If any adjustments are needed, we review them together. We also handle all HOA packages, permits, and engineering submissions on your behalf, including site visits and coordination. This phase typically runs around three months.
Unless permits or engineering change the scope, the price confirmed at this stage is final.
A 40% payment is due at the start of construction. Your project manager prepares a full job package covering layouts, materials, timelines, and design specifics, and coordinates all utility work including electrical and plumbing.
We contact 811 roughly one to two weeks out to mark all underground utilities on your property. On day one, you meet your dedicated foreman and project manager, walk the plans together, and get added to a group chat with your full project team for updates throughout the build.
A 40% payment is due at this stage. We conduct a progress review at the halfway point to confirm everything is on track with the approved design, timeline, and quality standards.
The final 10% is due upon completion. We walk the finished space with you to make sure every detail meets your expectations and our standards. Every project is backed by a 5-year workmanship warranty, and we'll walk you through a recommended maintenance plan to keep your space looking its best.
